Rapid Intervention Team 230
R.I.T members are specially trained to conduct rescues of trapped or injured firefighters during an incident. Pitcairn Fire Co. No. 2 currently has 12 members certified to perform Rapid Intervention, five of those members are Advance certified. We conduct training on a monthly basis with neighboring departments, familiarizing them with our capabilities.
The members of Station 230 are dedicated to providing a qualified and disciplined group of firefighters willing to "rescue the rescuers" if needed.
